You can forget about all the leaks that talked about the Galaxy S25 and the processor chosen by Samsung. At least that’s what this user says X (Twitter)which, apparently, is directly related to the South Korean company. And, although everything seemed to be clear regarding the chips that the manufacturer was going to use, in the final stretch the new generation could surprise.

It all started in March, when the first rumors began to appear. At the time, Samsung’s strategy seemed to be based on using Exinos 2500chip, which some reliable sources later dismissed as lack of productivity. That’s when the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 came into play.

Until a couple of weeks ago, Google itself confirmed that Samsung will use MediaTek processors in Galaxy S25 and S25+. Now things are changing again thanks to the source we mentioned above.

Galaxy S25 will use Exynos again

According to this user, Samsung won’t use Qualcomm or MediaTek processor. In his post, he quotes a comment from another profile that talked about using Exinos 2500confirming this with the sign “You may not like it, but it’s true.

Finally, after dozens of leaks on this matter, it is possible that Samsung uses its own Exynos processora decision that, as we have already said, will cause confusion and more than one complaint. And this is not surprising, since the company itself has indicated that this chip is not powerful enough to enter the top range in 2025.

Actually, landmarks reinforce this theory, leaving the Exynos 2500 in a difficult position relative to the Qualcomm chip. Samsung processor takes up to 2666 and 8839 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 manages to surpass these figures. 3000 and 9000 points.

Thus, everything points to the fact that Exynos 2500 is less powerful processor than the variant from Qualcomm, as well as from MediaTekbut it seems like a very good cost-saving alternative while sacrificing a little performance on the base models. Only the two most modest ones, since the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Or whatever it will be called: Snapdragon 8 Elite.

If this is true, then this is not a solution that will bring joy to users, but rather the opposite. The Galaxy S25 and S25+ are expected to launch with few changes and zero updates in many important sections, so the reduction in the performance section may result in their decline. very vulnerable options on the market.
