The international company Ookla conducted a study that studied the measurements of mobile Internet speed by users of the Speedtest service.
Data on speed measurements and network coverage were taken throughout Russia for the period from January to June 2022. According to the network coverage, MegaFon recognized traffic.
To evaluate the assessment, we analyzed the size of the zone with an area of 100×100 meters in the country, during which the operator’s services were reduced, as well as the quality of service provided in each location: 4G and below. To analyze coverage, 1.6 billion measurements were made on 2.2 million mobile devices throughout Russia.
MegaFon was also in first place for the sixth year in a row. Results are obtained for 6.3 million users on 1.3 million mobile devices. The median download speed in MegaFon’s network is 25.01 Mbps, the median download speed is 9.09 Mbps.
