Bakalchuk received a lawsuit from Kim, in which she stated that she is the only participant in VB Development with a share in the authorized capital of 100%, therefore, according to the co-founder of Wildberries, the developer should be transferred to her. The businesswoman also demanded to recover 37 billion rubles in damages from her husband and general director of VB Development, Denis Kuznetsov.

Bakalchuk responded that the only participant in VB Development since 2010 is himself. According to the businessman, Kim’s claim “also lacks evidence or calculations that could confirm the amount of the alleged damages.” According to Rusprofile, as of October 21, the company is 100% owned by Bakalchuk.

“In addition, Tatyana claims that the purchase of a stake in the company and the construction of warehouses was allegedly her initiative, and my actions were carried out in her interests. These claims are not supported by facts or law,” says the co-founder of Wildberries.

He noted that the lawsuit was filed 14 years after he acquired a stake in VB Development, and Bakalchuk “sees no reason to comply with the requirements, since the arguments and facts presented in the lawsuit do not correspond to reality.”

  • The lawsuit against Bakalchuk was filed on October 11 by VB Development. However, the businessman’s representative told RB.RU that it was not the company that went to court, but Kim on its behalf.
  • The Wildberries press service reported that the lawsuit was filed due to VB Development’s failure to fulfill its obligations to build warehouses on the market in different regions of Russia.
  • In turn, Bakalchuk claims that the online platform illegally terminated the contract for the construction of warehouses with VB Development and froze the logistics facilities under construction.
