The report selects the most notable developments that, according to analysts, concern Russians. Depending on the degree of dissemination and reproduction of a topic, experts obtain two parameters: the anxiety index (shows the scale of the information wave) and the survival index (shows the scale of excitement). Both indices are measured in mediajungs (named after psychologist Carl Jung).
The total YouTube slowdown anxiety index was 459.9 mediajung. According to the survival rate (9.2 yung average), this topic became the first in the ranking and “has by a wide margin surpassed any other concern in the entire history of research since 2019,” Kross said.
They explained that users are concerned about the need to change habits, search for channels they previously watched on YouTube, other video hosting sites, or learn to use tools to avoid slowdown.
In second place in terms of survival rate (5.7 media teens) were quadrobers and furries, and Shaman divorce (2.9 media yungs) by the same parameter shared third place with the bill prohibiting propaganda without children.
“Kross” pointed out that Shaman disappointed users, since “he always defended family values, and now it has made him doubt the sincerity of both his positions and his creativity.”
Ksenia Kasyanova, vice president of Kross, commented on the results of the study that “people react painfully to any attempt to interfere with their private and personal life.”
