This summer, I try to make the most of the sunny days and constantly get out to sunbathe in nature. Gadgets behave differently in the heat, in particular, my iPhone 13 Pro Max overheated several times so much that it was cut down, detecting the detection of an excessively high temperature of the device.
The problem disappeared immediately, it was only necessary to get rid of the cover. The thick leather original apple case effectively dissipated heat through the body of the iPhone, so I had to take off my “clothes” and put it aside until the cooler season. Left only the original magnetic wallet Leather Wallet Case, because lately without physical plastic cards hard.
To the pointA: My iPhone overheated and stopped working due to the heat. What to do and how to prevent this
A few days later, I had to put the case back on the smartphone. And it’s not that I was afraid to scratch my smartphone. Just the original wallet is just terribly magnetized to the iPhone casestrive to constantly fall off.
How so, Apple? It turns out that if I like one accessory, then I simply have to buy another one, because without a case, a wallet can easily get lost?
Is this a tricky common move, or have the Cupertino engineers screwed up a bit?
Why is this happening
Original accessories with MagSafe magnets: case, external battery, wireless charger and wallet.
Apple introduced MagSafe-enabled accessories with the release of the iPhone 12. In short, all iPhones 12 and up have a magnetic ring underneath the back. There are also magnets in accessories: cases, wireless chargers, an external battery and leather wallets are enough to bring to the back of the iPhone so that they, in full accordance with the laws of physics, are magnetized to each other.
However, there is a nuance. In the original Apple cases, in addition to the magnetic ring, there is also a small magnet below, which serves to center other magnetized accessories, whether it is a “pancake” of charging or a leather wallet.
This extra magnet is especially visible on the transparent original polycarbonate cases.
But if you magnetize the wallet without a case, directly to the iPhone, then according to the feeling of this vertical magnet, there is either no detection, or it oooooooochen weak.
This wallet fell off the smartphone almost every time I took the gadget out of my jeans pocket. For all the time that my smartphone was in a case, this has never happened.
Moreover, several times I almost dropped a top-end iPhone on the pavement. I just got used to the fact that the magnetized wallet is held very tightly, that you can take it with the tips of four fingers at the moment when you stretch your big fifth to the exit of the edge of the screen. Without a cover, such a trick does not work, because the wallet instantly “sticks off” from the case and moves out.
So after a few days and a few random moments when I almost lost my wallet or almost dropped my smartphone, relying on a strong grip of magnets, I had to get and put the leather case back on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
And oh, miracle! Wallet stays glued on again. It does not move out, does not come off, you can hold on to it when the gadget is in your hand, you can put it on it. Just perfect.
The Magnetic Leather Wallet Case is as relevant today as ever, in a discovered transit card and several bank cards that enjoy many of the benefits of carrying with you recently due to the Apple Pay device. So it turns out that if you need a wallet, be kind, be sure to also buy an original case so that everything holds and magnetizes really reliably.
I do not like such a subtle marketing policy, when the manufacturer’s cunning literally forces the client to buy as many goods as possible. I hope that such a difference in magnets is just a flaw of Apple engineers.
Although, who knows, of course. Just keep in mind that if you carry your iPhone with a wallet and without a case, do not spare money for an original leather or silicone case. Attach a leather wallet case to it and feel the huge shades.
