Patrushev noted that to curb the rise in prices, oil imports are increased, but this “should not cancel the task of systematically increasing production.” He stressed that butter belongs to the category of socially significant goods.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Government has been providing important support to producers and processors for several years. They are provided with preferential loans for working capital and investments, preferential leasing, as well as support measures within the framework of a consolidated subsidy. This is done to avoid a slowdown in the production of raw materials and manufactured products, indicated the Cabinet of Ministers.

Patrushev also highlighted the importance of mandatory oil labeling. This allows you to track all stages of your implementation, including the moment of purchase, making it easier to control the price chain.

Previously, large butter producers in Russia warned of an upcoming price rise and reduced supply. The Prostokvashino brand temporarily suspended the supply of butter with a fat content of 72.5% and 82%, indicating that in the first half of 2024 the price of the product increased by 48%.
