MTAC’s latest report states that “foreign actors” are targeting American political campaigns “with disinformation, AI-generated media content, and cyberattacks” to “cast doubt on election integrity.”

The company stated that Russia focused its efforts on “attacking the Harris campaign” using “deepfakes and slanderous attacks,” while Iran “attempted to attack Trump’s campaign and spread anti-Israel sentiment.” China, meanwhile, “turned toward Republicans and congressmen who oppose Beijing.”

MTAC predicts that these efforts will intensify on Election Day and beyond “with the aim of creating chaos and undermining confidence in the election results.”
