The iMac with M4 is the first Apple computer to support external displays with 8K support and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Previously, Macs could only output at 8K 60Hz.

8K 120Hz support is only available on high-end iMacs with 10-core graphics. The basic version with an 8-core GPU can only output images at 6K resolution at 60 Hz.

This change is expected to make its way to other M4-equipped Macs launching this week.
