In mid-October, large butter producers in Russia warned of an upcoming price increase and a reduction in supply of the product. Representatives of the companies pointed out that the main reason for this is the shortage of raw materials.

Previously, Rossiyskaya Gazeta wrote that some retailers began packaging butter in plastic boxes, designed to protect against theft. At the same time, chains have not recorded a “pronounced increase in thefts” of butter in recent years, said Igor Karavaev, president of the presidium of the Association of Retail Trade Companies.
