Recently, another One UI 7 video was published on YouTube. This time Mobile Wala Bhai channel showed some details of the new operating system such as animations, Quick Settings and some native applications.
The demo starts from the lock screen: One UI 7 apparently has more customization optionsIt allows you to place the time and notification summary on more of the screen.
Personalized shortcuts remain in the right and left corners at the bottom of the lock screen. In the center, There is a pill-shaped section that can display user information.
The home screen features new icons for native apps, widgets, and animations. The task switcher is also different; now with stacked app previews (an option previously only available in the Good Lock app).
New widgets, icons and animations
There are a number of additions to the widgets: There are new additions for the camera app, battery management, device maintenance and screen time control. It looks like even the weather widget has been overhauled.
Perhaps the real change is in the Notification Tray and Quick Settings. Sections can now be viewed individually, one with notifications only and the other with quick adjustments only.
The Quick Settings interface has been revised and now includes controls for volume, brightness, Nearby Devices, and Device Control at the top of the screen. Shortcuts to companion functions are still available, but with less screen real estate.
But just like in iOS 18 User can set the partition as he wishes. At one point, the YouTuber moves the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth control buttons to another part of the screen.
Right now, One UI 7 not even available for testers. The platform is planned to launch alongside the Galaxy S25 in January 2025.
