Other issues were discussed at the meeting with Northern Railway President Rashid Saibatalov. In particular, the reconstruction of platforms at the Vologda railway station and the arrangement of pedestrian crossings along railway tracks in some settlements in the region were discussed. It is thought that changes in the schedule of trains traveling on the Moscow-Vologda-Cherepovets route will make travel easier for residents of the region.
Another topic of the meeting was support for the tourism projects “Veliky Ustyug – Don Baba’s Homeland” and “Don Baba Train”. Plans also include direct long-distance trains to Veliky Ustyug, which will allow tourists to easily reach the famous northern city.
