On YouTube, scammers started promoting a fake cryptocurrency exchange. The attackers choose popular videos and leave comments that there is a bug in the exchange that allows you to trade cryptocurrencies ten times more profitable. Kaspersky Lab specialists drew attention to a non-standard fraud scheme. RB.RU got acquainted with the study.
Scammers increase their comment ratings and add bot replies to them. And all this is done so that users go to another YouTube channel with instructions on how to make money with this error.
The authors claim that the benefit will be ten times the current normal rate due to a "bug" with a comma separating whole numbers and decimals.
On such channels, mainly a video is posted, and this is already suspicious, company experts say. In addition, it is clearly false: changes in exchange rates are immediately visible, many enthusiastic comments.
The link below the video leads to a fake exchanger. If you scroll through it, a cryptocurrency exchange service appears on the screen. You should not use it: the money will fall into the hands of scammers and cannot be returned, Kaspersky Lab warns.
Experts recommended cryptocurrency owners to be more careful with such profiles. Experts recommended checking the site address for typos and extra words, beware of generous offers, promises of easy money, and can also be used to protect Kaspersky Internet Security.
