The Downdetector.su service recorded a service failure on November 1. In the last 24 hours, problems with the use of Steam have been reported 14 thousand times, and in the last hour – 650 times. Users reported that they could not load the website or mobile app.

Russian State Duma deputy Anton Gorelkin told TASS that problems with access to the Steam gaming service are the responsibility of the digital platform itself and that there is no intervention from Roskomnadzor.

In February 2024, Roskomnadzor added Steam to the register of banned sites. The operation of the service was limited by decision of the Ministry of the Interior. In October, the agency announced that Steam had removed materials banned in Russia.
