National Platform LLC was created in 2016 to develop the Ma-3 ERP system, aimed at Russian industries and large corporations, including the military-industrial complex. The project was planned in conjunction with TOTVS, but after the departure of the Brazilian company, the development remained completely under the control of NCC.
Kirill Semion, general director of the ANO National Competence Center for Management Information Systems Holdings, believes that the exit of TOTVS will allow NCC to develop Ma-3 without external risks and promote it as an import substitution product.
Nikolay Mokretsov, partner and CEO of 1C Pro Consulting, clarified that the Ma-3 ERP system is still little known in the Russian market and its current share is difficult to estimate. Mikhail Bocharov, deputy general director of science at SeaSoft Development, highlighted that the project is now acquiring greater strategic importance, especially for critical infrastructure facilities.
According to Oleg Logvinov, general director of Logvinov Consulting Service, in 2019 the Ma-3 was considered as a potential platform for the Ministry of Defense, but the project was not developed due to the high cost of implementation. He also noted that the National Platform received a subsidy for the linguistic and regulatory localization of the product. According to Logvinov, TOTVS’s exit from the joint venture is probably not related to sanctions.
National Computer Corporation is one of the main players in the Russian information technology market. Included among the 20 largest IT companies in Russia as part of GKS according to the results of 2023, Сnews Analytics and TAdviser. Brands include Triafly, Landata, Oblako.ru and others.
