As of November 4, 2024, the app is no longer available for download from the Microsoft Store; The download button is disabled.

However, users who have already installed the app can continue to use it; All features and templates remain available, but updates will no longer be released.

Paint 3D was released in 2016 as an attempt to modernize the classic Paint application and add 3D modeling support.

Over the years the app has received a number of updates, but its popularity has slowly waned. In recent years, Microsoft stopped shipping Paint 3D with Windows and it had to be downloaded separately from the store.

Users who want to save the application for future use can save the installation file (appxbundle). After uninstalling or reinstalling the system, it will no longer be possible to download Paint 3D from the official store.
