He noted that, as can be seen from the statistics, citizens increasingly prefer the ease of biometric registration. This year alone, the number of in-person registrations using biometrics has nearly tripled to 2.2 million. At the same time, the number of mobile application users has increased significantly, thanks to new functions and improved security.
Grigorenko emphasized that one of the main reasons for this success was thoughtful regulation, which made Russia one of the first countries to successfully combine strict data security requirements with citizens’ demands for convenience when using biometric technologies.
