Like every new version of the world’s most used operating system, Windows 11 did not come without errors. Many users had problems while upgrading the system, so Microsoft has prepared the KB5014668 update to fix these flaws. The problem is that now the update itself also fails for some people.

The update brings system build 22000.776 and first landed on the Windows 11 Release Preview channel, but is now available to everyone as an optional cumulative update.

Besides fixing other issues and bringing stability improvements, the main promise of the build was to fix the flaw that prevented some users from migrating to Windows 11.

The problem is, many people are reporting that, ironically, they were unable to install this update. You can find several reports of this issue in the system feedback center.

The glitch doesn’t happen for everyone and it seems like a user was able to complete the update by rebooting a few times after experiencing the issue. In any case, it may be easier to wait for Microsoft to make a new, more stable version of the update.
