Unlike processors from Qualcomm, MediaTek and Apple, Samsung solutions are not capable of competing in the flagship segment.
The Galaxy S25 globally is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor instead of the Exynos 2500, indicating that Korea’s top chip is once again inferior to Qualcomm.
According to The Chosun Daily, Samsung executives believe the company is hindered by workers’ rights in Korea, which allow a maximum of 52 hours of work per week, including 12 hours of overtime.
This means that employees sometimes have to leave work without completing their tasks. As a result, key members of the Exynos team were often working overtime without pay.
Samsung has even initiated discussions with lawmakers to ease working hours.
