The university has created a Remote Participation Center (DPC), which is part of the hardware and infrastructure platform of the information and communications area (AIP ICP). This network unites leading Russian scientific organizations working in the field of thermonuclear research. Through the CDU, participants will be able to access experimental data, conduct research at other facilities and, in the future, participate in international projects such as the ITER fusion reactor in France.

MEPhI also connected the educational sphere tokamak “MIFIST-0” to the system. This is a setup used for experiments on plasma confinement in a magnetic field. Now scientists from other parts of the country will be able to participate in research on the tokamak remotely.
