Well-known experimenter Jeff Girling showed how the ARM architecture copes with AAA games by connecting the Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics card to a single-board computer.
Although BCM2712 processor power and 12 W TDP limited performance, the game ran at 20-30 FPS at low graphics settings. This is a very important achievement for a platform with these features.
Another test running Doom Eternal showed that GPU utilization never reached 100% due to a CPU bottleneck, but the game ran at 720p and 4K with ray tracing enabled.
However, adapters were needed for a stable connection, which increased the cost of the solution.
Girling also tried to launch Red Dead Redemption 2, but due to issues with the launcher, the game would not launch. However, Steam Link worked properly and opened opportunities for games on ARM devices.
