According to them, support for conversational mode in Siri will be possible through the use of more advanced large language models. Additionally, Apple’s voice assistant will be able to process more complex queries more quickly.

The new service was provisionally named LLM Siri and will be added to Apple Intelligence AI in the future. Apple is currently testing an improved version of Siri on iPhone, iPad and Mac as a standalone app, but the technology will eventually replace Siri’s current interface, the people said.

They noted that the company plans to announce an update to the voice assistant in 2025 as part of the upcoming iOS 19 and macOS 16 updates. According to the agency, an improved version of Siri will be available to users only in spring 2026, but the moment can change.

While Apple works on a new voice assistant, the company will add ChatGPT to Apple Intelligence in December 2024. The idea behind the improved version of Siri is to give users greater AI capabilities while emphasizing that their data is not They will be shared with other companies, Bloomberg said.

Apple previously integrated ChatGPT in the iOS 18.2 beta. In most cases, OpenAI’s neural network is free for users, but some features require payment.
