Speaking at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Karakaev emphasized the advantage of the system over other long-range precision weapons.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin confirmed that the decision to start mass production of the Oreshnik system has finally been taken and production processes are already underway. At a meeting of senior Ministry of Defense officials and defense industry representatives on Friday evening, the developers of the promising missile system were praised.

British newspaper DailyMail calculated that Oreshnik could attack any part of Europe in less than 20 minutes.
