Gaming company Playgama has raised $3 million in investments, Forbes reported. It was created by the winner of the magazine’s “30 under 30” rating in the “Management” category in 2020, Dmitry Kachmar. The round was led by Dubai venture studio The Open Platfrom and fund s16vc.

The New York fund FJ Labs, the Californian fund with Russian-speaking roots The Games Fund, the venture studio TON Ventures of former employees of the TON Foundation (developer of the Toncoin cryptocurrency) and the founder of the payment provider also participated in the round. Playgama is an ecosystem for developing and promoting browser games that can be played online without installing additional software. The company will use the money raised to develop the service and expand its network of partners.
The platform was founded in Dubai in 2023. Its founder, Dmitry Kachmar, is the former commercial director of Yandex. Playgama offers tools for game monetization, marketing and an SDK (software development kit) with the open source Playgama Bridge.
According to the company, its SDK is used by more than a thousand developers. The ecosystem also brings together distributors and gaming areas where creators can publish their work, including CrazyGames, Playdeck, and Lagged. Playgama earns a commission on the revenue from each published game (10% to 30%).
