“Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, Eswatini have been added,” the department lists in an official statement.

Serbia and Andorra were also excluded from the list, since bilateral agreements on a mutual visa-free regime were signed with them.

Electronic visas for a single entry of up to 16 days, as RBC writes, are gaining popularity: according to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than half a million foreigners have issued them over the year. The largest flow comes from China (more than 250 thousand visas), followed by Saudi Arabia (43.4 thousand), Germany (42.6 thousand), Turkey (32.8 thousand), Estonia (28.6 thousand), etc. .

The Cabinet of Ministers also signed another resolution establishing a quota of qualified foreign workers in 2025. The number of people arriving in the Russian Federation on a work visa will not exceed 234.9 thousand, as decided by the Ministry of Job. Of them, 93.8% will be workers in industrial companies and infrastructure projects.
