SwitchUp editors received a 3D model of the device created by the accessory maker based on data from Nintendo.
The mockup shows that the Switch 2 will have a larger screen and slightly redesigned Joy-Con controllers with slightly more rounded edges.
From the outside, the device resembles the original console, but there are noticeable improvements in size and ergonomics.
Accessory manufacturers such as cases and screen protectors are already working on products for the Switch 2, confirming that its launch is imminent.
The larger controllers and console will be more comfortable for users with larger hands, addressing one of the common complaints about the original Switch.
Note that insiders say the new Nintendo portable console will be available in March 2025. Its release is expected to be closer to summer.
