Yandex Go has launched a queue function for ordering a taxi during demand peaks, the service’s press service informed RB.RU. The tool will help you decide whether to wait for a car or leave by another means of transportation, the company believes.

The option allows you to know how many people are waiting for a car at the moment. The queue was added at the request of passengers: after public events are over, many do not understand what their chances of getting a car are: “everyone around calls for taxis, and usually there are not enough free cars nearby” , said the press service.

The function already works “in situations of extra demand,” the service clarified. Those passengers who have made their reservation in advance will be able to leave first. If the queue is slowly decreasing, you can look for a car with other rates or plot a route on public transport, the company said.

Additionally, the “Assistant” tool is available in Yandex Go: the user can assign various tasks to the courier, for example, picking up a jacket from the dry cleaners or going to the store. Now this option is working in test mode in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

In early December, the service added detailed information on taxi prices, showing what the cost of a trip is made up of. The details are divided into blocks: the cost of supplying a car, the basic rate (the cost of the minutes and kilometers of the route), the surcharge for increased demand and the price of additional options.
