The option is available in the latest version of the X app and on the website. To request a description of a post, you must click the “Explain this post” button below the post. Grok can also analyze the content of the comments.
As an example of how the option works, Musk cited one of his posts: the neural network explained the reference to a historical anecdote, described the image attached to the post and tried to find a connection between the billionaire’s usual behavior and the post he published. . .
Grok sends a description in English, even if the post was in Russian, but you can request a translation from AI into any of the languages, the RB.RU editor found out. Additionally, the neural network itself can now generate four images simultaneously.
In early December, X opened access to the chatbot to those without a premium subscription. Free users can submit up to 10 requests every two hours. TechCrunch previously wrote that the social network began testing a free version of the model. It is assumed that in this way the neural network will be able to compete with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, which are available for free.
Grok was developed by xAI, Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, which the entrepreneur founded in July 2023. The company’s employees include people from DeepMind, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Twitter (rebranded as X) and Tesla.
