According to the doctor, bruxism is seen in 9% of the society and is still a subject of research. Scientists do not yet have a definitive answer about the causes of bruxism.

Victoria Radko stated that the factors affecting the emergence of bruxism are considered as chronic stress and sleep disorders.

Risks associated with teeth grinding include abnormal, rapid wear of tooth enamel, increased sensitivity in teeth, and the formation of microcracks in teeth.

“Constant tension in the chewing muscles causes fatigue, sleep disturbances and irritability, which worsens the general condition of the patient. Timely contact with a specialist not only helps minimize the consequences of bruxism, but also helps alleviate discomfort and associated symptoms, improving quality of life,” Radko explained.
