Blackmagic announced a new $30,000 URSA Cine Immersive professional camera for shooting video for the Vision Pro and immediately went up for pre-order.
The new product has a special stereoscopic 3D lens with two sensors and 8K resolution. It is capable of capturing video at an angle of 180°, supports recording external sound, and the video frequency is up to 90 frames per second. Captured content has 8160 x 7200 eye resolution and features 16-stop dynamic linking for detail and color accuracy in every frame.
The kit includes two 5-inch HDR touchscreens, as well as an external color LCD screen. There are several connectivity options: 12G-SDI output, 10G Ethernet, USB-C and XLR audio ports, and an 8-pin Lemo connector for power.
There’s also an 8TB Blackmagic media module that can store approximately 2 hours of stereoscopic 8K video recorded in Blackmagic RAW, as well as Cloud Store functionality for fast media uploads and synchronization.
