Elon Musk gave Twitter employees an ultimatum: accept the company’s new “radical culture” or quit. Those who opt for the second option were promised compensation of three monthly salaries.
The letter, in which the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, puts a condition for the employees of the company, these same employees shared it with The Washington Post.
The email asks you to click the “yes” button if the employee is ready to be a part of the “new Twitter.” New in this case means changed towards a “hardcore culture”. Those who did not press the “yes” button were asked to resign with severance pay of three monthly salaries.
Such an ultimatum will lead to another wave of firings at Twitter, the newspaper believes. Elon Musk has already fired 50% of the company’s employees after becoming its owner and CEO.
Business Insider previously reported that Twitter staff gave the new CEO the nickname Elmo, after a Sesame Street character who wanted to be everywhere at once.
