- Bakalchuk was engaged in the construction of market facilities until November, but after the merger of Tatyana Kim’s assets with the Russ group, his company VB Development LLC was suspended from work.
As Bakalchuk’s representative explained to RB.RU, in the first stage the projects will be implemented in the Leningrad region (very close to the Shushary warehouse restored after the fire) and in the Moscow region (next to the Koledino warehouses and Elektrostal). Construction will begin soon.
“Currently, next to the largest warehouses of the World Bank, the selection and registration of land and the design of class A light industrial facilities are being carried out,” said Denis Kuznetsov, general director of VB Development.
The overall construction client will be VB Development, of which Vladislav Bakalchuk owns 100%. As the company explained to RB.RU, there will be investors interested in the project, but there are no plans to open a separate legal entity for it. Premises from 400 m2. m the company plans to sell or rent.
In the second stage, Bakalchuk plans to build several industrial and logistics centers in various regions of Siberia and the Far East. Bakalchuk’s representative did not mention the investments.
For sellers, the emergence of industrial parks and warehouses very close to Wildberries’ largest logistics centers is an opportunity to save on the delivery of goods and reduce production costs, according to VB Development.
“In Russia there is a huge shortage of light industrial facilities, which has been increasing for several years in a row. Low supply and high demand have formed a promising niche in which we will concentrate VB Development’s activities,” said Vladislav Bakalchuk through his representative.
According to the businessman, this project was discussed with the top manager of Wildberries, Sergei Anufriev, and was considered beneficial for both sellers and Wildberries. But it was not possible to implement it jointly due to a corporate conflict between the co-founders.
- The combined company Wildberries & Russ (RWB) plans to build 11 logistics complexes with a total area of more than 2.2 million square meters. m in Moscow, Moscow region, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Smolensk, Ufa, Surgut, Ivanovo, Perm and Krasnoyarsk. Marketplace returned to facility design and construction by new technical client, VB Engineering LLC.
- Experts interviewed by Vedomosti estimated the company’s total investments in new projects at between 130 and 176 billion rubles.
