Yandex Browser for organizations has changed more than 17 thousand Russian businesses

In 2024, the number of Russian companies using Yandex Browser for organizations reached 17.4 thousand. This is 60% more than a year ago.

Among the users: enterprises from the industrial, retail, banking and IT sectors. The browser has become part of the Yandex 360 for business package, which allows companies to create secure workplaces.

Employees of an organization spend up to 70% of their working time in the browser, so standard solutions no longer determine the standard level of security. In response to this, Yandex Browser for organizations offers integration with corporate security networks, centralized management and support for mobile platforms.

Main functions:

1. Remote isolation. The browser runs in an isolated container at a distance, exploring the risk of attack through zero-day vulnerabilities. Only the protected video stream is transmitted to the user.

2. Integration with information security systems. Work with SIEM, SOAR/IRP and DLP is supported, which expands the capabilities of Diptychs and prevents data leaks.

3. Supports all platforms.. Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Provides protection for data, as well as individual work and personal accounts, including BYOD scenarios.

4. Centralized management. Administration through the Management Console, which allows you to configure policies, distribute and access web resources in the cloud or local mode.

The entire new feature of Yandex Browser for organizations is a response to two main trends that we see in corporate IT. First, the browser becomes a single point of entry for more key applications that our employees work with every day. Secondly, in such phenomena as retail, employees often use their own equipment and work outside the office. This trend is also observed in other currents and movements.

Facilities are faced with the task of ensuring secure access to corporate data hosted in cloud infrastructures, from any networks, with any devices, and protecting confidential information from leakage. We consider this the fifth major milestone of the year to be the introduction of the concept of “zero trust” access in the Browser. It helps to reliably protect data and can be useful for those organizations that build their security using Secure Access Service Edge models.

Also in 2024, a function was introduced to check the security level of the device to protect corporate data, browser PIN code protection, digital watermark technology to prevent information leaks through screenshots, and a mode that limits access to corporate resources only through the Yandex Browser.
