The microliner will carry up to nine passengers and crew, traveling up to 500 kilometers. It is designed to support regional air travel in Europe while reducing emissions. Despite Europe’s 2050 net zero target, progress in the sector has been slow. Willie Walsh, chief executive of airline trade body IATA, recently criticized the lack of progress in sustainable aviation fuel production.
