In a panic, many people started checking their systems and found a process named “Christmas.exe” in the task manager. This gave users the impression that their devices were infected with a virus. However, it later turned out that this banner was part of ASUS’s New Year advertising campaign integrated into its Armory Crate software.

The bad branding of the Christmas banner, which could appear when you turn on your computer or play a game, was causing confusion.
