Sales of passenger cars in the Russian secondary market will grow by more than 5% in 2024. According to Avtostat’s forecast, sales will exceed 6 million units.

Vedomosti reported this based on data from an analytical agency. In the base scenario of the experts’ forecast, the volume of the secondary market for passenger cars will be 6.02 million units.
In the optimistic scenario, the figure could be 6.05 million, and in the pessimistic scenario, 5.99 million.
As experts note, in any case, the used vehicle market in Russia will show an increase of 5 to 6% compared to the results of 2023, when the sales volume amounted to 5.69 million.
In October 2024, the new car market in Russia set a record for the last 3.5 years. The sales volume for the month reached 171.18 thousand vehicles, an increase of 52.4% compared to October 2023.
