The mouse has improved the ergonomic design and fixed a long-standing problem with the charging port. There may also be touch control with new gestures and voice control support for the first time. However, specific functions are not named.
The overall appearance of the Magic Mouse has remained virtually unchanged since 2009. Notable changes over the years include the switch from AA batteries to a built-in rechargeable battery in 2015, new colors in 2021, and the switch from Lightning to USB-C earlier this year.
