In 2024, the number of fraudulent and spam calls on the network was analyzed. According to the Defender service, from January to December MTS blocked 3.2 billion such calls, which is 48% more than in 2023.
Most often, fraudsters turned out to be employees of mobile operators (77%), specialists, pension and tax services (9%), as well as banks (5%) and other organizations.

1. Moscow and region: 16.05%
2. St. Petersburg and Leningrad region: 6.27%
3. Krasnodar region: 6%
4. Novosibirsk region: 3.81%
5. Republic of Bashkortostan: 3.75%
6. Rostov region: 3.33%
7. Sverdlovsk region: 2.63%
8. Republic of Tatarstan: 2.57%
9. Samara region: 2.02%
The largest number of unwanted calls were recorded in Moscow and the region – this region accounted for just over 16% of the total.
