The Indian government may provide additional incentives to Apple to reduce the cost of producing iPhones.

In particular, the Ministry of Electronics, Information Technology and Technology plans to allocate $2.7 billion to manufacturers of smartphone batteries and camera components.

In addition, the ministry is openly reducing duties on some electronic components, which should reduce production costs. A formal announcement of these proposals is expected to be made in February, when discussions on the 2025 budget begin.
