The real problem is that Apple’s AI summarizes already shortened news headlines. This could lead to errors, the media writes, as AI could incorrectly combine different news reports and spread misinformation.
That’s why Six Colors’ Jason Snell suggested that Apple disable this feature by default, at least for notifications in news apps, while leaving it enabled for other users. This will prevent the AI from distorting headlines that are already summaries of articles.
