PowerSchool, used by 18,000 customers worldwide, manages the records of more than 60 million students and teachers.

The company said the attackers gained access to two tables in the database containing contact information such as name and address. In some cases, the data also included Social Security numbers, other personal information, and “limited” medical and educational records.

Not all customers will be affected, but those who are will be notified.
