The initiative launches today, January 14, in South Korea. Users will be able to estimate the cost of their devices on the company’s website and send them via courier.

After that, Samsung will evaluate the condition of the smartphone in three categories: “Excellent”, “Good” or “For Recycling” and transfer the appropriate compensation to the owner.

The program accepts the latest devices of the Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23 series, as well as popular models including the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold.

The company has already announced plans to expand the program to other countries but has not specified the timing so far. Tablets, laptops and smartwatches are not included in the program for now.
