Apple today (11) released the first public beta of iOS 16, a system in development that will come to compatible iPhones in the future. The beta version available to developers is now easier to download by end users as well as bringing more stability during use.

In addition to releasing iOS 16 in beta to all interested users, the company is also publicly distributing trial versions of other branded systems such as iPadOS and watchOS. As always, the final version of the software will be available on compatible devices by the end of the year.

On mobiles, the new version of the operating system contains great news, including new customization options for the lock screen, weight improvements such as improved keyboard and Wi-Fi options.

How to download iOS 16 beta?

To download the iOS 16 beta, it is sufficient for the user to have a compatible device with the system and be within Apple’s testing program. With this, the update will arrive over the air with the installation happening automatically.

iOS 16 will come to all of Apple’s latest phones, but will exclude popular models like the iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and the first-generation iPhone SE.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to install the beta:

1 – Go to beta.apple.com/betaprogram

2 – Click on the “Register” button and register;

3 – Select the option to enroll your device in the test;

4 – Download the configuration file;

5 – enter device management in iOS settings and activate iOS 16 beta;

6 – When beta is activated, search for updates in the “Software Update” menu
