According to research by Google and Ipsos, Brazil is one of the countries that uses productive artificial intelligence the most in the world. About 54% of Brazilians surveyed say they will use some AI tools in 2024, compared to the global average of 48%.
Generally, 87% of respondents use generative models to “solve problems”. Productive AI applications that help write, brainstorm, and simplify complex information were tied at 78%.
THE Adoption of generative AIs has spread to the professional environment: While 25% of the participants say that technology allows them to work faster and more efficiently, 31% believe that these facilities will appear within five years.
In a corporate environment, India is home to the largest number of people using productive AI27%. The United Arab Emirates ranks second with 26 percent.
Brazilian citizens view the proliferation of productive artificial intelligence as positive and think that the changes caused by this innovation will occur within the next five years. In this sense, the most pessimistic respondents are in the USA: Less than 30% believe the changes are actually a good thing.
“It is inspiring to see Brazil embrace generative AI with enthusiasm and optimism,” said Fábio Coelho, president of Google Brazil. “The survey results show Brazilians’ confidence in the potential of AI to create positive impacts in business, education and daily life,” he continued.
THE Brazilian people interviewed perceive artificial intelligence as a “transformative force” across many industries, including science (80%), medicine (77%), agriculture (74%) and cybersecurity (67%).

The figures published by Google come from the research titled Our Lives with Artificial Intelligence: From Innovation to Application. The survey interviewed 21 thousand people in 21 countries between September 17 and October 8, 2024.
In addition to Brazil, the survey also takes into account the opinions of citizens of Belgium, Canada, the USA and France.
