The TON Foundation, which maintains the TON blockchain linked to Telegram, will focus on expansion in the United States, according to a statement on the organization’s website. The first step in this strategy was the appointment of Manuel Stotz as president, who will help develop blockchain.

Stotz founded London-based investment firm Kingsway Capital, which manages “several billion dollars on behalf of U.S. institutional investors” and focuses on advanced and emerging markets, he said.
It follows that Kingsway has supported more than 50 blockchain projects, including Animoca Brands, Blockchain.com, and CoinDCX. The TON Foundation noted that Stotz’s appointment as president will help expand TON’s implementation in the US market.
Stotz succeeds Steve Yun, who, as president, “played a critical role in shaping the organization’s vision and achievements,” the TON Foundation says. Yoon will remain a member of the board of directors.
The TON Foundation hopes that the United States will soon become “a global crypto hub focused on innovation.” This is consistent with the plans of the country’s president-elect, Donald Trump, who promised to make it the “crypto capital of the world.”
The TON Foundation was founded in Switzerland in 2023 as a non-profit organization funded by contributions from the community. It supports projects on the TON blockchain, launched by brothers Pavel and Nikolai Durov in 2018 and used on Telegram.
