The court sentenced Hamster Combat “partner” Gurinovich to pay 2.5 million rubles in the information business case

The court decision clarifies that Shkursky bought the educational course “Board of Directors” from Gurinovich by paying 2.5 million rubles (50% of its cost) as an advance payment.

However, according to Shkursky, the services included in the course consist of developing a business development strategy, building investment models, etc. were not provided, access to the lectures was not provided. Despite Shkursky’s “active participation” in the correspondence with Gurinovich and his representatives, “the defendant’s participation was minimal, limited only to presenting the course and receiving money,” the court decision says.

In addition, Shkursky indicated in his lawsuit that, according to the information presented in the consolidated register of licenses of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science, Gurinovich does not have a license to carry out educational activities, therefore the plaintiff has the right to resolve the contract and demand compensation for damages.

The court found that the defendant did not fulfill his obligations to Shkursky and is obliged to return the advance payment in full.

Gurinovich is a co-founder of the CarPrice platform and also ran the CarMoney company. He invested in his own project Expload, which provides a blockchain platform for decentralized game development and distribution.

In June 2024, Gurinovich registered the Hamster Kombat trademark with Rospatent and became an exclusive partner of the application. In June, the media made a connection between the game, whose creators were never named, and Gurinovich.
