XPAN was announced by Qualcomm in 2023; technology allows you to switch between these standards. When transmitting data via Wi-Fi, sound is transmitted losslessly in 24-bit 96 kHz format, while preserving Bluetooth power consumption. XPAN also solves the problem of choosing between high sound quality and low signal latency.
Another feature of XPAN is that the technology recognizes the data transfer standard used and can automatically switch between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
According to insiders, the Qualcomm Snapdragon S7 Pro chip is required to pair the headphones. Paired devices must also be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
