Trump also ordered the provision of banking services to encryption companies. Previously, representatives of the cryptocurrency industry announced that US regulators had ordered banks to “exclude cryptocurrency companies from banking services”, which the regulators themselves denied, the agency writes.

In addition, an American presidential decree prohibited the creation of digital currencies of the Central Bank in the country that could compete with existing cryptocurrencies, Reuters added.

The agency said that the working group to regulate the cryptocurrency industry will include the head of the US Treasury Department. Basic (CFTC), as well as heads of other government departments.

According to Reuters, the creation of the working group was well received by the representatives of the cryptography industry, who insisted that the new administration would send them a “strong support signal” once the new president assumes the position.

On January 22, Financial Times reported that cryptocurrency enthusiasts began to disappoint Trump due to the Trump and Melania Memecoins, who belong to the President and his wife Melania. Market participants emphasized that, due to excessive volatility, these tokens could damage the sector and cause a negative reaction of investors.
