For the new study, the team used the data obtained from two waves of the COVID Statues project. This project was a national deterministic web research conducted between 2 November 2023 and 8 January 2024. The questionnaire included questions about the use of social media and irritability. A total of 42,597 participants’ answers were analyzed.
The average age of the survey participants was 46. 78.2 %of the participants reported that they use at least one social network every day. However, frequent use of such applications, depression and anxiety factors were taken into account, even when taken into account, it was associated with higher irritability rates.
Sharing multiple times a day was associated with the highest level of irritability on all platforms. Moreover, the growth of this indicator was the highest level among Tiktok users.
