MTS has developed a unified mobile application for installers and field engineers.

MTS has developed a FieldService Management (FSM) mobile application for installers and field engineers, which allows saving up to 15% of the time required for preparing layouts and documents.

FSM is created based on the cross-platform Flutter framework and settings on smartphones with Android and iOS. We are talking about five previously separate systems and functions:

► Schedule tasks and automate layout management. Installers have access to their daily schedule, customer addresses and routes on a map, and can contact the customer directly.

► Inventory and equipment management. Using electronic document management, the installer receives from the warehouse the components and equipment necessary for work (cables, sockets, routers, etc.)

► Equipment connection and diagnostics. The application provides information about connection ports and allows you to check the functionality of the device on the network.

► CRM system for interaction with clients. The installer submits an application to the customer, reviews the selected tariff and signs an agreement for the provision of services in electronic form.

► Outfit Exchange. If assigned orders are completed, the installer can select a client from the connection queue.

Specialists from the technical department and the MTS IT department jointly developed and successfully launched a single universal mobile application for our installers and engineers working with clients and in the fields. This solution will significantly facilitate and increase the efficiency of our staff.

If previously a specialist, when performing tasks on the field, connected five different corporate networks and environments – applications, web pages, responsible calls and used external instant messengers – now he can do all this using widgets in one application on his smartphone.

Using FSM allows us to save on average up to 15% of the time spent on preparing layouts and documents, as well as increase the satisfaction of our employees and make their work more comfortable.

At the moment, the FSM function is available for fixed Internet installers in Russia (except Moscow and the region).

In 2025, the application should add new capabilities so that it can be used by installers in the Moscow region, as well as field engineers and foremen working with base stations, transport networks and other telecommunications facilities.
