“I prescribed a bill where I proposed to present the concept of a national video game. I think we need to develop our national video game sector, ”said Lentratova.
He pointed out that subsidies, subsidies and preferential advertising can become support measures of the industry. In addition, according to Lentratova, it is necessary to enter rental certificates for the games that enter the market, both for the west and the Russian.
Lantratova has already offered to introduce rental certificates for games in early December. The first vice president of the Duma Illustration Committee indicated that it is necessary to control the content of the Games because Western countries “introduce hate through Russia”, promote the ideology of LGBT*, romanticize violence and rejection of traditional values.
In early January, the state president of the Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, said the agents plan to protect the Russians from the destructive content in the games. According to the politician, the plots of the modern games contain elements of aggression and violence, as well as the propaganda of “values outside us.”
In December, a bill on the regulation of games to the State Duma was presented. It establishes a series of requirements for games and online stores, and also proposes to introduce the mandatory marking of content games and several ways of registering in games services, for example, through “state services”.
*LGBT is recognized in Russia as an extremist movement, its activity is prohibited.
